Ayurvedic Reset Retreat
Rebalance in Paradise
A personalized Ayurvedic Reset Retreat for your body, mind and nervous system on the beautiful island of Madeira (known as the “Hawaii of Europe”), one easy flight away from New York City.
Plan Your Ayurvedic Reset Retreat
At Ashoka Ayurveda, you can finally slow down and reset your system, while being deeply cared for. You’ll return home calmer, clearer and more grounded. Not just rested, but truly rebalanced.
Does This Feel Familiar?
- You’re doing well on paper. You’re capable, driven and used to handling a lot. And yet, something feels off.
- Your mind is always on.
- Sleep is light or you’re feeling restless.
- Your body feels tense or depleted.
- Energy dips without a clear reason.
- Focus comes and goes.
- You’re going through a life transition and feeling a little unsteady.
- You may be dealing with symptoms that don’t have a simple explanation: digestive issues, inflammation, migraines, skin problems, hormonal imbalances, unexplained aches or ongoing stress and anxiety.
- You’ve tried the usual fixes: better routines, supplements, exercise, time off. They help… for a while. But they don’t seem to reach the root of the problem.
What you’re craving is something deeper. Not another escape, but a reset with structure, expertise and care. That’s where Ayurveda comes in.
What is an Ayurvedic Reset?
An Ayurvedic Reset is a cleansing cure to regenerate and renew your body and mind. Ayurveda understands symptoms as expressions of imbalance in the body, rather than isolated problems to suppress. Ayurveda has a personalized and holistic approach to health, centered on the idea that each person has a unique mind-body constitution (Prakriti), determined by the three biological energies known as doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Treatments and lifestyle recommendations are always tailored to your Prakriti and current imbalances (Vikriti). Ayurveda addresses the root cause of your symptoms and promotes long-term, lasting wellbeing.
Ayurvedic Treatment Center Ashoka Ayurveda
Ashoka Ayurveda is one of Europe’s most authentic Ayurvedic treatment centers, guided by experienced doctors from India, rooted in centuries-old medical knowledge and adapted for modern life. Here, everything revolves around you: your body, Ayurvedic constitution (Prakriti), lifestyle and current challenges and imbalances.

Frequently asked questions
Travel
Are there direct flights from the US to Madeira?
Yes. There are direct flights from New York to Madeira (Funchal) during Summer (June-September) on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, making the journey surprisingly easy. Many guests from the US are pleasantly surprised by how accessible Madeira is, especially compared to traveling to Asia or India for an Ayurvedic retreat.
Do I need a visa for Madeira when traveling from the US?
No. If you are a U.S. passport holder, you do not need a visa for tourism or business stays of up to 90 days in Madeira, as it is part of Portugal and the Schengen Area. Your passport should be valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure date.
